Trek of a Lifetime
K2 and Concordia
This is arguably the most spectacular trek I’ve ever done. The sheer scale of the Baltoro Glacier, the surrounding moraine, and the mountains around Concordia is simply epic.

The combination of altitude, heat / sun, terrain, and length make this quite a difficult hike. Once you get onto the Baltoro Glacier (on the 4th day of the trekking portion of the itinerary), you’re hiking along a very long ice and boulder field with loosely defined paths that are constantly changing. Quite often,
... you are just picking your way through a pile of rocks, following the mule droppings to find an acceptable path.

The temperature can get quite high and the sun quite searing, especially at the lower altitudes. Wake up calls were at 3:30am – 4:30am pretty much every day to get an early start to beat the heat. Make sure you bring cat 4 glacier goggles to manage the sunshine. The weather will also change constantly, so keep your waterproofs handy at all times.

The highlight of the trip of course is the time spent at Concordia. K2, Broad Peak, and the Gasherbrums are all there right in front of you, with Chogolisa and Mitre Peak on the other side, and Baltoro Kangri further down the way. Make sure you take the time there to just sit and enjoy the spectacle.

Note that there isn’t a lot of camping or trekking infrastructure in this part of Pakistan. A lot of the bridges tend to get taken out by rock falls and flooding, so plans will constantly change. There is a high probability that you’ll need that one contingency day in the schedule to deal with such things, and KE does a great job managing all of this.

Trans Tyrol Trek

Itinerary was good, the trip grade was a fair representation of the trip. [Guide Ryan] did a wonderful job of interacting with all members of the group and ensured everyone was well informed of upcoming activities. Stayed in a few hotels which were all clean and good quality lodgings. Standard breakfast fare, good quality dinners provided.

Fantastic holiday, all very well organised, great range of activities
On the Tapas Trail - Family Active Holiday

A really superb trip which exceeded expectations. Perfect range of activities for our 14 and 12 year old, and for us too. All activities were fantastic. Loved the variety, all well organised and exciting for our children - and us. Our guide was excellent. Great with both the kids and adults. All very well organised and he had a lot of knowledge of local area. I liked having quite a lot of the meals and nearly all activities included in the price. Easier to plan and budget for.

Best of Mont Blanc to the Matterhorn

Great guide, Mihai. Amazing hike. So fun. [Guide] Mihai was terrific. his briefings were spot on. He organized the check-in and checkouts. He knew the route and he knew how to assist the guests with navigating what could be fairly difficult terrain.

A perfect way to do the TMB
Best of the Tour du Mont Blanc

4th trek with KE Adventure and another excellent trek with great partners. Always a few special surprises. Very well organised, good accommodation and meals. Not cheap but trusted. A perfect way to do the TMB, a great balance all the highlights, with comfortable accommodation and meals.

Everything I hoped for
Best of the Tour du Mont Blanc

The tour was everything I hoped for, and then some. Very well organised from initial enquiry to execution. The accommodation, food and guide made this a pleasurable experience rather than a trial - good company on the tour cannot be guaranteed, but my fellow travellers topped it of. Grading the trip is extremely difficult to do. I was concerned that I wouldn't cope, but shouldn't have worried. Itinerary was well explained. I'll be looking at other KE Adventures for more 'bucket list' memories.

Monte Rosa Trek
Tour de Monte Rosa
Really good communications, description of the walk is spot on, accommodation is great, the guides are great, and the walks are great. Lovely walk, quiet, fab paths, loved the refugio Theodule the most. Amazing amazing view of the matterhorn. Tracey was absolutely excellent. she judged us all really well and gave those that were able to walk a bit quicker the freedom to go on ahead if safe and also managed to get the slower ones to speed up when required. Knowledgable, endlessly enthusiast, ... kind, happy and selfless. Very easy to get on with. Chatty when required but also happy not to talk.

Extremely well planned
Rising Sun Japan Walking Explorer
We absolutely loved our holiday which gave us a chance to experience Japan on a more local level as we were warmly greeted by nearly all of the hosts exceptions being larger establishments. An excellent mix to allow city and countryside living. We tagged on a few days at the end to allow time to properly see Osaka. All of the establishments we stayed in provided excellent meals and service. Dining out in Japan was much cheaper than we had imagined. Once there it was up to the individual to ... spend as much or as little as they wanted. Many of the establishments were not only exceptional but also provided us with lasting memories.
