Breathtaking
Annapurna Circuit and the Thorung La

In so many ways, this trip is breathtaking, not least from the altitude (going over 5,000m more than once). The views are out of this world, the level of challenge is significant (without quite being overwhelming), and the team guiding and running it are first rate. Don't underestimate the difficulty, but also don't shy away from challenging yourself because it's totally worth it.

Brilliant tour, exceptional guide
Best of Northern India

One of the very best tour guides I’ve ever experienced. Organised, adaptive, personable, incredibly knowledgeable about Indian history politics geography and religion. Excellent English and communication skills.

This trip was well organised
The Laya Trek

Lhakpa is to be commended. He went above and beyond organising the logistics and caring for everybody. He was also able to guide us around the ancient Dzongs and explained Bhutan culture. Lhapka worked so hard in the preparation and delivery of this trip. We called him Lhapka the wise one, but he was also Lhapka the patient one. We learnt so much from him on Buddhist culture and history, and we're taken aback by his humility and humbleness.

An amazing trek
The Ultimate Everest Trek

Friendly. Professional , knowledgeable staff. Pasang was so friendly yet very professional, caring for all members of the group equally. He was very observant and picked up quickly if anyone was in need or struggling with the trek. An absolutely brilliant guide who is a asset to KE. An amazing trek, although due to an ankle injury I was unable to complete the latter part of the trek, it was still so worth it. Definitely a life enhancing experience.

Excellent
Balkan Trilogy Road Cycle Tour

The trip was excellent from start to finish! The support was good. The food was great! The accommodations exceeded expectations!

Overall the adventure was excellent! The climbs were a little harder than expected coming from a very flat part of the world. The food and rooms were better than expected. The country is a beautiful place to bike. The leader and support was positive. Thanks for the adventure of a life time!

Stunning scenery - particularly Laurebina Pass/Gosaikund
Gosainkund and Langtang Trek
Travelled numerous times before and always good. KE make sure they use the best local people to support them.

A superb leader. Other members of the team were also excellent. (Particularly Assistant Guide Manoj) Little things made a big difference - such as the porters greeting us at the end of each day when we arrived at the teahouse, and making sure everyone was looked after whilst treking. Naresh made a point of ensuring everything ran smoothly. He'd ring ahead to make sur
e the Teahouses were expecting us (even though they had already been booked) He would explain about the local flora and fauna, customs and people so bringing Nepal to life.

The wonderful quality meal at the end of the trek in Khatmandu was unexpected. Facilities in the teahouses were quite varied and whilst we expected them to be basic having travelled in Nepal before (and we looked to have stayed in the best available along the route) more information about this would have been useful.

Mount Kenya and Kilimanjaro
Both the teams on Mount Kenya and Mount Kilimanjaro were very friendly and supportive throughout the whole trip. They all worked tirelessly to carry our overnight bags during the day and then provided very good food for each meal which fuelled us for the whole trip. Both groups were very friendly and I will look back fondly on the memories I've created on this trip which was down to these groups. I want to pay special mention to both sets of guides for both trips as they made it a possible and enjoyable trip to the summit of both mountains.

There is such a good range of holidays available on the KE website - it will definitely be my first port of call when I'm looking to plan my next adventure.

Mount Kenya and Kilimanjaro with Safari extension
Hiking up Point Lenana, Mount Kenya is a unique and special experience that I would recommend to anyone. Tremendous scenery and a variety of ecozones to hike through. We had fine weather and not many crowds. The guides and camp staff were excellent, hardworking and attentative. Kilmanjaro is a bit of a contrast, the crowds on the mountain are staggering and the summit day is long hard slog especially after a long hike earlier the same day. I would only recommend it if it's really on your &# 039;must do' bucket list. The 3 day safari extension is very worthwhile particularly the Ngorongoro Crater which is very special - go early 6:00am openng and take some decent binoculars though!

I enjoyed the tour so much
Turkish Delight – Cycling in Cappadocia

Faruk was very caring and attentive to our needs and provided us with a wealth of local information and was always upbeat and fun. Mustapha, Faru's help, was also a very helpful and cheerful guide and assisted well with any mechanical issues with the bikes.

Bhutan is an amazing country - unlike any I've been to before. Jigme and the others really brought it to life, and I feel I have a greater understanding of why it is such a happy place. The scenery was stunning too!

Fabulous holiday
Botswana Wildside Lodge Safari
This was a fabulous holiday. We were very lucky with sightings. We saw about 40 lions, 3 leopards (including a courting male and female), and lots of elephants (my favourite).

I loved the permanent tented camps at Elephant Pools (or it might be Elephant Sands) at Moremi, and Nata Lodge at Nata. They were really spacious and luxurious - nicer than most of the chalet accommodation we stayed in.

Highlights included:
- The helicopter flight over the Okavango Del
ta.
- The Mokoro along the delta river.
- The elephants at the hide in Moremi.
- Watching the elephants at the water hole while drinking a beer at Elephant Pools (Sands?) tented camp.
- The leopards in Moremi.
- The boat safari in Chobe and getting so close to the elephants.

Both Lloyd and Svenja were great. They were approachable, welcoming, passionate about wildlife, and very knowledgeable about the countries we visited, and the animals and birds we spotted. They took extra care to ensure I was well catered for as the only vegan, and I really appreciated that. There was lots of fresh salads, fresh fruit salads, and freshly prepared dinners - they even got soya mince, chick peas, and tofu so I had some protein! They made a great team and I really enjoyed their company during the two week trip.

Hiking Greece's Menalon Trail

Would thoroughly recommend this trip. This was a beautiful area of Greece. The walks were interesting as well as stunning. The duration and intensity were moderate. Just enough to make it really enjoyable.

Beautifully Varied Walking Holiday
Walking in Las Alpujarras
We started our trip with two extra nights in Granada which was well worth it. We did the Alhambra (need to book in high season), a flamenco evening and took in the ambience of the different parts of the city. We met with our local contact, Sandra, who was a great source of information and advice. Our transfer to Trevelez was by Jose, who was very knowledgeable about the area. We stayed in the sister hotel of La Fragua, I think because we were a late booking, and although we could use the swimm ing pool of the main hotel and the staff were very helpful, it was not as nicely furnished as the main hotel. Our first walk was the "Route to Penabon' as Sandra had advised us that the alternative was too overgrown. This was a steep walk but very rewarding, so a good choice. Transfer of luggage was efficient and the walks for the rest of the holiday were excellent, varied terrain and very picturesque. Be aware though, these are very steep hills. So even though the mileage is not extreme, some of the ascents/descents were. The villages were also beautiful and offered some delightful restaurants to sample the local cuisine (especially the ham!). We were slightly disappointed with the final hotel as the pool had closed for the winter. It only opens July, August and September. but we did have a good sized terrace to relax on and admire the views. All in all, a very good holiday, we felt well supported and would definitely do another self guided holiday with KE.

One Superb and extraordinary journey
Under African Skies Camping Safari
This trip is often referred to locally as The Trade Route for it follows one that was established long ago. It is simply one superb and extraordinary journey that you will make as a true traveller, as one with both your fellows and the wonderful people who are your guides. It is for those who have experienced Africa before, who can slide easily and effortlessly into the African rhythm of life and become immersed and absorbed in its culture. The days are long, the distances great; the temperatur e is hot, roads badly pitted (much “African Massage”); the power is sometimes down and the ATMs seldom work but the rewards are truly IMMENSE!

This three week adventure is just SO varied – four different countries, two contrasting game reserves, wild camping, organised site camping, lodges, beach huts, a canoe expedition, a lake expedition, a sea expedition, so many local communities to observe and oh my the food – a daily culinary experience from the guides and their “camp kitchen”. And there’s also plenty of space in the cooler box for the beer and the wine to celebrate another awesome day on this unique odyssey.

The South Luangwa National Park is rightly famed for its concentration of wildlife and under the expertise of the park guides, the experience is intense, especially on the night drives.

When did you last climb aboard a small, traditional Mozambique fishing boat to be taken out to an offshore archipelago whilst your brai is being prepared on an open fire at the stern? And then to have it served on the beach? The flavours were just exquisite.

The canoe expedition is breathtaking and long – it’s the Zambezi after all, one of the world’s great rivers but don’t forget you are sharing the water with large numbers of hippos and crocodiles! Sensible navigation as a group means you avoid being in a position where you become an interest to them. True adventure it is, but fair to say the mind is concentrated at the start!

I cannot recommend this trip enough to the experienced traveller – it’s what travel and adventure are meant to be. Enjoy!

Incredible Bolivia!
Salt Flats and Volcanoes of Bolivia
Fantastic trip every day providing jaw dropping landscapes & cultural experiences loved it so much will be going back to see more of this amazing country. KE have put together an excellent itinerary to enable altitude acclimatisation & the guide Juan was fabulous, one of the best have come across, with incredible knowledge of the geology, flora, fauna & culture of his country. The second week across Uyuni salt pans & then into Sajama National park for volcano trekking really wa s just an utterly mind blowing scenic experience and I can’t wait to explore more of the country on another trek.

The Lycian Way
The Lycian Way
Tolga Kanik, our Turkish guide, was excellent. He had good historical knowledge of the are were walking through. He was also good with plant knowledge and shared his enthusiasm with the group. Our accommodation at Cirali was the best with a family catering that was varied and learnt a lot about the rural Turkish diet which was lovely. The day's sailing over the Kekova sunken city from Ucagiz and exploring the hill-top castle of Simena and finally swimming in the blue Med. was the best way t o finish our holiday. Thank you KE.

A great holiday!
The Lycian Way
Our guide Ulas was superb, the accommodation very well chosen, and the food throughout was very good. The walking days were set at good distances and a good pace, and the boat trip on last day was an absolute pleasure.

Ulas was key to making this holiday such a success. Very organised, clear in his briefings, very measured in the walking pace he set in such hot weather, and an absolute font of information when it came to the history of Turkey and the landscape we were walking thr
ough. He is a superb guide!
