Stunning
Jebel Sahro Walking Holiday
Excellent customer service and communication. From meeting Lahcen to travelling to the Jebel Sahro it's all been so wonderful. The muleteers and cook are kind and respectful and work very hard to look after us. I was very impressed by the very dramatic scenery, the stuff of cinema, huge sculptural rocks that take many shapes and big plains. Sometimes we passed through pretty almond groves and met the local farmers.

Our guide Lahcen - What a lovely man, very respectful and so
ft spoken, and not overbearing with facts etc. as happens on other tour companies. I would always want him for leader

Excellent we really enjoyed the trip
Sweden Arctic Family Adventure

Great choice of tours and itineraries especially for families. Helpful staff.

We saw the aurora in all its glory on an evening photography course which was a dream come true. Also loved the dog sledding and visiting the hotel spa.

A lot of the guides were Sami and were very knowledgeable about traditional Sami culture. All the activities were within a short drive of camp Ripan or started from camp.

Extremely well organised, efficient and reasonable value
Kilimanjaro Northern Route Traverse and Circuit
All of our party summited, which gave us all a great sense of achievement. Our guide Onex led his team well and was an excellent judge of abilities and pacing. The grading is fair at level 8 and I needed all the time to acclimatise. Given the conditions cooking on the mountain, the food was excellent and varied.

All information required for VISA application was easy to find ( first hotel, local agent's name etc). Would have been useful to know that a few Tanzanian Shillings,
changed at the airport would be useful for hotel tips.

Walking New Zealand
Walking New Zealand - North to South Island Explorer
Staff at your office are excellent in answering questions pertaining to the trip. The actual trip has been designed very well - covers all the highlights of NZ and includes new experiences. Some of the hikes were challenging, but the guides did an excellent job of preparing us as to what to expect and offered an alternative. Including things like the sailing and cruise were an excellent way to break up the hiking activities.

Over the years I've been on several guided trips as
well as led trips myself (i.e. school groups) and Iain was the best of them all. As a former leader of school groups I can understand the issues he may be facing and he always handled them with professionalism, calmness, humour, and knowledge.

We got to see a lot of New Zealand in 19 days and experienced most of the country's highlights. The day off at Wanaka was an excellent idea and the guides went out of their way to let us know what activities were available to us - i.e. mtn biking in my case.

Must admit that I hesitated signing up at the start since the cost was higher than previous trips. Once the trip was completed I could see why it cost more and it was all worth it.

Spires and Ice
Spires and Ice - Trekking Patagonia

Of two trips (one to Madeira, one to Patagonia) I have taken with KE, both exceeded my expectations, with particular kudos for staff who responded promptly and pleasantly to all email inquiries. Our guide Luis is a gentleman through and through. He is kind, attentive, generous, and extraordinarily knowledgeable. A real credit to KE and a gift to his hikers.

An amazing experience
Kilimanjaro Northern Route Traverse and Circuit

I have been on two challenging trips with KE both professionally organised and delivered an amazing experience. Our guide Onex ( Master) and his team made the trip. A brilliant communicator and organiser he always kept us informed and took our safety very seriously. Getting to the top of Kilimanjaro was quite an emotional experience it fully satisfied the dream I had of being on the top of Africa. The northern route I would recommend as the preferred route, scenery jaw dropping and so quiet.

It was wonderful, a trip of a lifetime from start to finish
Edge of the Sahara Trek
I have now done 4 trips with K.E and have another booked in Oct. They are, by far, the best adventure company of them all. From answering queries in the U.K to the quality of guides, organisation, variety of destinations etc, you can trust in them to deliver.

I loved every minute of it (apart from the blisters!) and I think Grade 5 is appropriate. The walk up the 120m sand dune is quite challenging after 14 miles of walking, but with a good level of fitness behind you, it's
fine.

Our guide Said was amazing. We loved him and his wonderful, positive attitude. He made us laugh all the time, was extremely organised, had a great relationship with all of the crew members and us, and I was so grateful that he was our guide. Had a lovely, careful driver who did the transfer from Marrakech airport to hotel, and the 2 long drives to/from the edge of the Sahara. The taxi driver who took me to the airport was lovely.

The food was absolutely amazing - cooked and prepared by Muhammed, Said and Youseff. I can't believe the quality with such basic equipment. They even made bread in the camp fire!

Perfect, wouldn't change anything
Edge of the Sahara Trek

I've been on walking holidays with other companies with no complaint but KE are the best I've been with so far. Very professional from my initial inquiry right through to my leaving Marrakech. Incredible value for money. Food was amazing. I've walked eighty miles in five days and put weight on.

Highly recommend
Walking Holiday on the Captivating Cape Verde Islands
This was a fabulous trip, with excellent walking, amazing scenery and a fantastic guide. The volcano scenery for the Mount Fogo walks was fantastic, and the accomodation was mostly excellent, especially on Fogo and Santa Antao. Our guide, Odair was brilliant - funny, knowleadgeable and well organised and the trip ran very smoothly despite the inevitable differences in walking pace within the group. Several of the walks were quite strenuous, especially the Mount Fogo climb which involves some st eep uphill sections, so it is a good idea to do some uphill training beforehand.
The food was excellent - lots of locally grown vegetables with chicken or fresh fish (with vegetarian options available), and usually some cake for breakfast as well as more usual breakfast foods. And there were some delicious puddings including the home made icecream. The Cape Verdean grown coffee and wine were also excellent with local beer available which went down well after the walks. What we really liked about this trip was the large proportion of walking compared to travelling (by road/plane/ferry) - 10 walks in 12 days and no long road journeys. The weather was perfect for walking (not too hot), and the Cape Verdean people were friendly and welcoming. The islands feel unspoiled without many tourists and only a few other walkers (mostly French).
The one downside was that the hotel in Mindelho ( 5th night and last night) wasn't brilliant - too noisy, poor breakfast and not enough room for the whole group to have breakfast together. Mindelho is a busy port town which is interesting and lively, but a quieter hotel with better breakfast facilities would be an improvement. However this didn't detract from the overall trip which was fantastic, and we had a nice group too. Would highly recommend this to anyone who wants some good walking in warm weather, with great scenery, great food and an excellent guide.
