Brilliant
Self-Guided Walking Dubrovnik and The Dalmatian Coast

The holiday got off to a great start by the efficiency and friendliness of the ground staff. All of the accommodation was excellent and well situated. Our group really enjoyed the islands, the wildlife and swimming in the sea was exhilarating. Mixing walking with the mini city break in Dubrovnik was a new experience for us ( we normally go for straight hiking holidays). This is a very relaxing holiday with time to explore new places and enjoy some great sea food.

A challenging two weeks, but total feeling of achievement on completion.
GR20 Corsica - The Complete Route
This is a challenge and not a typical hiking experience, but if you're prepared to keep at it it's totally worth it for the powerful scenery on route and total feeling of satisfaction and achievement at the end. The North section is very a very dramatic, rocky mountain landscape, which is more difficult to negotiate, but ultimately wonderful. The South section has more typical hiking paths, with its own beautiful scenery and fabulous walking days. A fabulous experience all in all, thou gh not to be under-estimated. We had a fabulous guide and I met some super people within our group, who all helped each other get through the challenges that the trip brought. I will never forget my GR20 experience.

Lovely gentle coastal exploration
Self-Guided Walking on Brittany's South Coast
This was a lovely 3 days of gentle walking, pottering & exploring the coast of the Golfe du Morbihan. The walks, as provided, were lovely, although the exact schedule has to be adapted to fit in with the tide times. Make sure you take your bathers & a small towel etc as you walk past lots of lovely beaches. There's an excellent boulangerie & small epicerie (though a bit pricey) in Larmor Baden so stock up before you set up, although there are plenty of oyster restaur ants along the coast, and cafes if you venture across to any of the inhabited islands. The guided tour of Gavrinis was a highlight. The hotel is lovely - excellent food, nice location and really lovely, friendly staff. We only had two concerns. There is a set menu every day and if you are vegetarian, you might not want filet mignon. I did ask the hotel manager in the morning if there could be an alternative, but he forgot to pass that on to the kitchen. I don't think vegetarianism is quite on the menu in French cuisine yet. Second, we were 2 friends travelling and asked for a twin room. We got twin beds, but the room was so small they were pushed right up against each other, as if we were in a double. I would have appreciated a larger room, or the option from KE or Karouann of upgrading in some way. There was a mix up on Day 3 of our itinerary - the notes say to walk to Port Blanc and get a 5 min ferry across to Ile aux Moines, whereas we had been provided with a voucher for a 2.5 hour cruise of the Golfe du Morbihan, at a set time, which we nearly missed because we set out to walk the 9kms to Port Blanc. Fortunately we had hired a car, to extend our holiday, and we were able to drive there in time to get our cruise, which was wonderful. There is only one other restaurant in Larmor Baden, and a small bar, so not packed with cafes etc. The food in the hotel is so good that it is well worth eating there, but their restaurant is closed on Weds and Fridays, so you can either get a picnic and go down to the beach/picnic site on the coast, or eat in a restaurant. We were there in mid June and needed to book as all nearby restaurants were so busy. The galeterie in Baden is excellent. I loved this holiday, but we extended by 5 nights, hired a car in Vannes airport, and then were able to explore the region a bit. Without a car you cannot get to Carnac or any of the other local sites. There are a lot of lovely medieval towns (Auray, Vannes, Le Bono) tucked away on hidden estuaries to explore, plus the Quiberon peninsula and you can't get to them without a car. For me, the star was the Golfe du Morbihan. We walked around it, explored it by boat, visited some of its islands and then the highlights were driving down to the tip of the two peninsulas which enclose it - the peninsula on the west - past Loqmariquel - and then over to the Presque'il de Ruys, to Port Navalo, the peninsula on the east, to see the whole Golfe from yet another. perspective. As we live in the north of England, it felt like quite a long - 12 hour journey, with 2 flights & a 2 hour drive - to get to Larmor Baden, so I'm not sure I would do it just for the 3 days walking/boating, without an add-on. If you live in southern England it is more accessible. Still, a fabulous holiday. Thank you KE Adventures

Beyond any expectations!
Walking the Albanian Alps
Albania is so beautiful country! - mountains, wild flower meadows, waterfalls, gorges, rivers, "fjords" like cruise on the lake, fresh tasty food, friendly people and it is very safe for tourists. Hikes are tough due to hot weather and very stony uneven paths but they worth the effort. I would recommend reasonable hiking experience for this trip, it was not just a long walk by any means but steep assents and descents (1,000m+ each way). Guesthouses are hostels and we had 6 women per ro om but no bunk beds, no mixed genders and additional toilets were available. Hotels for the 1st night and the last night were superb.

Stunning trek through the Andes
The Inca Trail and Beyond

You have never let us down. The accomodation is always good and the guides are excellent. German was just an all round great guy. Very knowledgeable, kind and friendly. He was extremely concerned with the welfare of all his staff and all in all was a fantastic addition to our trip. We are still in touch and that clearly shows that he cares about his clients.

A fascinating place with great scenery
Walking the Albanian Alps
The mountains were stunning and the scenery glorious with lovely views on every walk. The flower meadows were particularly impressive with everything from daisies to orchids, as well as butterflies and other assorted bugs. While not crowded, there were a number of groups following the same route so the paths were busy in places. The walks provide a good challenge and you do need to be fit but are not too demanding for anyone who is used to walking in the hills. The trails were generally good but we had some very hot days which made the walking a bit tougher, though enterprising Albanians have set up cafes on the popular trails where you can get very welcome cold drinks. The guest houses were clean and well run. As was made clear in the trip notes, in a couple of places we were in a six bed dormitory which was fine if a bit crowded. The food was lovely, excellent evening meals but there is no choice so fussy eaters will struggle. There are also very few places to buy snacks so best to bring your own with you. Our guide was excellent and very patient with the more demanding members of the group. Overall, Albania is a really interesting place which is developing fast and well worth visiting.
