A great trip - despite the weather!
Walking Wild Tuscany
Expected a gentle stroll over rolling Tuscan hills in warm, late summer weather but got full-on mountain hiking in atrocious weather however the fabulous accommodation and wonderful food and hospitality made up for the unanticipated elements! The walking can be demanding - especially if you have a fit group and with some scrambling and ridge walking is not for the inexperienced. Our trip leader, Kathy, was more than capable and also great company. The single-centre trip allows people to miss a d ay's walking and stay at the farm so it can be as relaxing as you want. Tips - bring full waterproofs in case you have as bad weather as I had and definitely bring mosquito repellent!

Great trip to mostly very quiet mountains
Trekking the Ridges & Summits of Bulgaria
A very well thought out trip. The busiest mountain was the highest, Musala, which was like Snowdon on a summer weekend, lots and lots of people but it was a sunny Sunday and it's very close to Sofia so easy access for the locals. After that it was much quieter, the Seven Lakes was a beautiful walk, with few people. Maliovitsa was quieter still. It was good to be able to drop straight down to the Rila Monastery, rather than drive for 2 hours round to it, but that was only possible as we had a big group with a driver. The hut at Dark Lake was good and similar to smaller huts in say the Picos de Europa, certainly more basic than the huge places in the Alps, but that is no bad thing in my opinion. The final day to Marble Ridge, Kotelo and Vihren was probably the best day, the 'via ferrata' section is really quite simple, just a horizontal ridge with a big drop off to one side, so it would have been dangerous in the wet, snow or a strong wind, but we had great weather all week in mid September, bright blue skies every day. Our guide, Ivo, always set a good pace and was thoughtful about anyone who may be slower on for example, a section of steep downhill or scrambling, if they were nervous about it. All three hotels we stayed in were very good, the best being the one at Bansko, where we stayed for three nights. All in all a great trip which I would highly recommend to anyone who is used to walking in say the rockier parts of the Lake District or Wales and is able to enjoy being out on the hills for 7 or 8 hour days.

Relaxing coastal walk - Our First KE Adventure
Walking Morocco’s Undiscovered Coast
Good Points - Greeted by Mohammed at the airport with cold water which was a nice touch after the delays within the passport control area. Transfers were easy and dinner was ready for us at the hotel on arrival. Aziz the waiter was very friendly and accommodating. The walks that followed were all well planned and easy going for all abilities on every day, we were lucky with the weather too as it was hot every day. The camel drivers were always helpful and Habibe the cook produced enough food for a small army at every meal. Mohammed was knowledgeable and guided the team well throughout the trip. The tents provided for camping were of good quality and were erected ready for each evening, there was even a toilet tent!
Each walk contained plenty of rest breaks, sometimes for two hours during siesta time due to the heat. Swimming was there for those brave enough to jump in to the Atlantic. Lunch in the Berber Village home was a nice treat and we were hosted well during our time there.
Essaouira was a quaint fishing town / harbour, we were all booked in to a Riad that was quite fantastic after 4 nights camping. The rooms were lovely and spacious and the showers were a welcome addition :)
Marrakech Souke guided tour was very informative and our guide knew the 6 miles of old market intimately which was good as it can be intimidating to lone tourists.
Our parting meal in Morocco with Mohammed was exceptional, especially the 'Pastillas' which were really tasty, it was a shame that Mohammed wasn't able to stay to the end of the meal due to travelling home.

Not so good points - we weren't informed of the need to take water purifying tablets, perhaps we should have researched this further before our trip but there was no mention of it on the itinerary.

Hints / Tips -

Plenty of wipes
Shampoo for sea water use
Water purification tablets
