Overview

The ultimate family safari adventure awaits.

From the hippos and birdlife of the Okavango Delta, through the lion stronghold of Savuti, to the snorkelling elephants of the Chobe River. This itinerary has it all, with the mighty Victoria Falls providing the perfect grand finale to this family safari showstopper.

We will start our adventure in Maun, the gateway town to the Okavango Delta, before heading deep into the heart of the delta on mekoro canoes, for the first of many wild camping nights on this trip. Just a couple of hours away from Maun will already feel like the wildest place many of us have ever ventured, and this is just the beginning. Hippos grunt from beyond the reeds and beautiful bee-eaters cruise the papyrus tops for an invertebrate meal. From here, we return to Maun for a hotel night and a splash in the pool, before venturing on into Moremi, a wilderness reserve on the northern fringes of the delta, home to acacia munching giraffes, impala and the illusive cheetah, among many other incredible creatures.

On to Savuti for game drives around Leopard Rock, home to its namesake, and across the gigantic Savuti Marsh, with opportunities to view huge lion prides and wild dog packs hunting across this wide expanse of savannah. Finally, we reach the river Chobe and after the best part of a week in the bush, we’ll feel like safari pros, our eyes trained on the slightest movement as we make our way through the bush. The banks of this river offer great drinking opportunities for ungulates massing in their thousands in the hope of a safe drink without being chased off by the large predators that follow their every move. African fish eagles dot the tree tops like elaborate Christmas tree decorations and black herons perform daytime/night-time tricks at the water’s edge.

We’ll be treated to a tented lodge night by the river in Kasane, before continuing on to Victoria Falls, across the border in Zimbabwe. Our final adventure being the opportunity to leap off the edge of the gorge on a flying fox line, sending us out across the spray of the Zambezi below, within sight of the plumes and rainbows of the mighty Mosi-oa-Tunya (Victoria falls).

Returning home after this trip will leave you with a longing to return like no other. As our guides say when we depart, it’s not ‘goodbye,’ it’s ‘see you next time.’

Is this holiday for you?

Suitable for children from 12 yrs old

Everything in Africa is on a big scale and to cover the ground necessary, your journey across Botswana will include several long drives. Such drives, including your game drives, will predominantly be on dirt and sand tracks, with a few graded roads and tar highways mixed in too, particularly nearer the towns at either end of the trip. The vehicles used have been custom-built to cope with such conditions, whilst offering prime wildlife viewing opportunities. They are modified, long 4x4 with twelve seats and tall open sides. This does mean that whilst travelling between destinations, we will likely experience dust, sand and wind entering the cab from the dusty unmade roads, so bring something to cover your face with, like a scarf or buff.

Included in the itinerary are also several safari experiences on foot. These walks can be on hard packed surfaces or uneven sandy terrain but they are always accompanied by your experienced local English speaking guide. Each walk is paced with time for your guide to interpret the environment around you. On our walking safari in the Okavango Delta, we will be kept together as in a single file line in case of an animal encounter. When in the Okavango Delta we travel by mokoro canoe. These are traditional and very basic dug-out canoes and may require some walking in the shallows to allow boarding at water level. The accommodation on this journey is mix of hotels and wild camping. When wild camping an adult must share a tent with the children. During your holiday, some participation on day-to-day camp chores is required. Getting involved with such chores adds to the camaraderie of your holiday. This journey is suitable for the adventurous family with a passion and understanding for wild places and the wildlife that lives in them.

Why KE?

The ultimate family safari adventure – We take you deep into the wildest corners of Botswana on an adventure packed with wild camping and wildlife experiences unmatched by anywhere else on earth. Our expert guides will lead us through the heart of Botswana’s finest game reserves, on a safari that will create memories that will last a lifetime.

Our safari covers a relatively small distance compared to many of our other safaris, meaning less ‘boring’ travel time for the kids, and more time within the reserves amongst all of the incredible wildlife. Wild camping in the parks means we are straight up and out at first light, making the most of the animal sightings whilst they are at their most active, then resting through the heat of the day at camp (bring books and a few games, or a device to download and edit all your best snaps!). We then we head out on a second game drive a couple hours before dusk, before returning in the last of the light for an atmospheric dinner around a campfire under the star-filled African skies. This is nirvana for wildlife enthusiasts of all ages!

Itinerary

Those on the group flight arrive in Maun and transfer (30 mins) to our hotel located on the outskirts of town. Sedia Hotel, is comfortable, with recently refurbished rooms and a beautiful garden under large trees with a great swimming pool, perfect for a first day dip if your flight timings allow. The restaurant is also known for its good food and ambience, a perfect restful environment after a long flight to the heart of Southern Africa. Those not on the group flight can arrive any time. Both lunch and dinner are at our own expense and can be taken here, or at a restaurant in town. We will need to pack our smaller daybags for the next couple of days of our trip, wild camping in the Okavango Delta.

After breakfast we set out in 4x4s out of Maun and into the wilds of the delta. At the 'polers station' we meet a new team of local staff from a nearby village who will look after us during our stay in the delta. With them we travel in mokoros along the papyrus restricted waterways of the Okavango Delta, blossoming and lush with water lilies and alive with birdsong. We may even be lucky enough to hear a grunting grumpy hippo off in the reeds. We will have lunch at our campsite on the banks of the river, and in the late afternoon we'll head out on our first game walk. Before the sun sets, we will head back to camp for our first meal enveloped in the sights and sounds of the African bush.

We take a full set of camping equipment into the Delta with us, including comfortable 2 person tents, with camp beds and mattresses, toilet tent and shower tent. The mekoro polers and guide will set up camp for us, and we are welcome to join in, but this is not compulsory.

Approx transfer time to the Delta: 2 hours.

After a restful night's sleep under the stars of a wild Botswanan sky, we wake early for a game walk with one of our expert poling guides. Of course, there are no guarantees with wildlife, as everything is free to come and go as it pleases, but there should be some opportunities to see many species great and small, common spectacles include elephant, and buffalo, as well as lots of amazing bird and plant life.
The Okavango is the world's largest inland delta. Every year 11,000 cubic kilometres of water flows down from the neighbouring Angolan highlands into this giant plain, spreading out into rivers and channels, eventually dissipating into the hot scrub and sands of the Kalahari. This phenomenon creates one of Africa's greatest wildlife spectacles, as animal life of all sizes and forms settle or migrate here to enjoy grazing the wealth of lush grasses and plantlife. Birds gather in their thousands to feed off the invertebrates who in turn enjoy the flowers that spring up from the wet ground. The ecosystem is teeming with life and we have the whole day today to explore it, only stopping in the heat of the day to take shelter from the sun. In the late afternoon we'll head back out on mekoros to view the sunset before returning to camp for another wild night in the Okavango, sharing stories of the day around the fire and cooking and washing collectively.

This morning we board our mekoro for the trip back to the polers' station. We meet our vehicle and transfer back into Maun for another night at the peaceful Sedia Hotel. On the drive there is an opportunity for an optional open helicopter flight over the Okavango Delta and upon reaching Maun we will have the opportunity to purchase some supplies for the days ahead. Lunch today will be in the early afternoon at the hotel and at our own expense. After lunch we will meet some members of the Ntlafatso glass bead project and take part in a bracelet or necklace making workshop. The marvellous 'glass ladies of Maun' will teach us how to make jewellery from recycled glass bottles. The rest of the afternoon is free to enjoy the pool or to take an optional fixed wing flight over the Okavango Delta. Dinner this evening will again be at our own expense and can be taken in the hotel restaurant or in Maun. We'll enjoy the comfort of our hotel beds tonight before the next leg of our wild adventure commences tomorrow.

Approx. transfer time out of Delta: 2 hours.

After an early breakfast at the hotel, we will pack our belongings in the 4x4 and drive north out of Maun on tarmac and eventually sand roads around the edge of the delta to reach Moremi Game Reserve. We enter the park at the South Gate, and from here we game drive to our campsite which could be anywhere in the reserve. The campsites are private and for our exclusive use. The only facilities are the bucket shower and toilet tent that we will bring with us. Moremi National Park is the jewel in Botswana's wildlife crown. Protecting much of the northern part of the Okavango Delta, it is made up of waterways, marshes, islands and open grasslands. Sightings in this beautiful reserve include packs of fleeting wild dogs, giant herds of buffalo, matriarchal troops of elephants and possibly even a lithe cheetah or two, and depending on the location our of site within the reserve, we may have time to venture out in the afternoon on a game drive, once we've set up camp. Either way, we'll be back in the wilds this evening, again preparing and eating around our campfire and settling down together in our campsite under the stars, a now familiar routine that will be the way of life for the next few days as we move through Moremi and Savuti.

Settling back into wild camping life, today is similar to our days in the Okavango except now we will be exploring the area in our game drive vehicle rather than on foot or in mekoros. After waking at first light, and enjoying breakfast with the sunrise, we will head out in the truck to find some of the amazing array of animals that live here, whilst they're at their most active. Despite its wet reputation, there is plenty of dry land in Moremi, which allows our game drives to cover significant distances while spotting game in the sometimes-dense vegetation. As well as elephant and lion, Moremi is a good place to spot leopard and cheetah, and the red lechwe, a water dwelling antelope, often seen grazing amongst the lilies of the delta here. We will return to camp to rest and recuperate through the heat of the day before heading out again before dusk on our second drive of the day. Now it's all about sunset, and we will go out in search of those epic shots of giraffe's heads breaking the backlit horizon line, or lions waking to hunt as the heat of the day seeps away, a truly magical time to explore.

After waking again to the starling birdsong of dawn in the bush, we will pack up the truck and head out of the reserve, looking out for game as we drive. Moving north over the sand ridge and into the Mababe depression we eventually arrive at the conservation area of the Savuti Marsh. This open grassland is within the Chobe Game Reserve and attracts herds of zebra and wildebeest, which in turn draw the large lion prides for which Savuti is famous. The Savuti Marsh, often dry, is fed by the Savuti river channel which alternately flows and then dries up for years at a time. Recent flooding has given this area new life. This area is also home to plenty of game, but is especially well known for its lions, and the large numbers of elephant that walk enormous distances to find fodder. We wild camp in the central Chobe National Park at Savuti or Zwei-Zwei, depending on the campsite we are allocated at the gate. If we manage to get settled in our new location in good time, we will have the opportunity to head out for a late afternoon game drive.

Today is our full day in the Savuti. After an early breakfast we'll head out through the fragrant wild sage scrub, rustling with the busy-ness of coucals and francolins, to attempt to find some large game. Elephants crash their way through the mopane woods here, and leopards can also be found prowling through the dappled shade these trees provide. It is the lion prides of these marshes that draw the attention though, and we'll hope to find a pride hunting or perhaps tending to their young under the shade of an anthill, where they often prefer to rest during the hotter daylight hours. We will also take some time out to rest at camp, before returning to the game vehicles later in the afternoon for our evening drive perhaps to Leopard's Rock or along the Savuti channel for another atmospheric evening drive under a bright orange sky.

We wake this morning for a final time in the tents that have been our home for our last week and have breakfast at sunrise before packing our bags and heading out for one final game drive through the great marshes of the Savuti. We then head out of the park and on to our next destination, driving out through the sand roads to eventually reach Kasane.
After settling into our riverside tented lodges on the banks of the river Chobe, we take to the water from the nearby launch embarking on a sunset safari cruise to optimise our chances to meet the elephant herds. The river cruise is a busy affair with a small flotilla of holiday makers all heading out on their own boats in search of wildlife to spot in the lowering sun of late afternoon. The elephants here use their trunks as snorkels to wade and swim through the deep but slow moving waters of the river, to reach the fresher, sweeter grasses that grow on the islands within the flow. Many birds and hippos line the banks of the river, picking through the reeds to eat, and monitor lizards lounge on logs and rocks to dry and warm in the last of the day's sunshine. We finish the cruise with a traditional sundowner drink on our final evening in Botswana.

Approx drive time (mostly game drive): 6 hrs.

Today we drive east before crossing into Zimbabwe to the town of Victoria Falls situated minutes from the waterfalls, themselves. The water we cruised along yesterday meets the Zambezi at Kazungula, the point where we cross the border and enter into Zimbabwe to arrive at our lodge in the late morning. We will spend the late afternoon exploring the falls. The Mosi-oa-Tunya (the smoke that thunders) is over 1,700m wide and 100m tall making them the world's largest sheet of falling water, and is considered one of the seven natural wonders of the world. We will take lunch at our own expense, and also have the opportunity to find out more about the many and varied activities on offer in this adventure town at the edge of the falls. If you wish to take part in any additional activities, these should be booked this evening if possible. We'll have some time this evening to explore Victoria Falls town and settle down as a group to an own expense dinner in one of the lively and cosmopolitan restaurants here, a world away from our evenings in the bush.

Approx drive time: 1 - 2 hrs plus 1- 2 hours more for border crossing formalities.

[introduction] => [description] => Today is our full day in the Savuti. [introduction] => [description] => After a restful night's sleep under the stars of a wild Botswanan sky, we wake early for a game walk with one of our expert poling guides. [introduction] => [description] => After an early breakfast at the hotel, we will pack our belongings in the 4x4 and drive north out of Maun on tarmac and eventually sand roads around the edge of the delta to reach Moremi Game Reserve. A single timed transfer (20mins) from Maun Airport to the first night hotel is provided to meet the group flight at lunchtime of Day 1 of the Land Only itinerary.

On the last day of the Land Only itinerary, there will be a single transfer to Victoria Falls Airport (Zimbabwe) or Livingstone Airport (Zambia) if required. Please contact the KE office for exact details of your departure date.

Anyone may join the group transfers by prior arrangement. Travelling as a group saves energy. If this is not practical, we can provide private transfers at an additional cost.

Hotel contact details and an emergency number will be provided with your booking confirmation.

All breakfasts, 9 lunches and 7 dinners are included in the holiday price. There are many restaurants to choose from, and you should allow approximately $15-20 per person for lunches and $20-30 per person for dinners.

It is not recommended to drink untreated water from the taps. You should take purification tablets or a filter bottle (such as a Water-To-Go bottle) to treat your water. We do not encourage the purchasing of single use plastic bottles.

When camping the tour leaders do the shopping and meal planning. He/she will always try to obtain fresh produce wherever possible. A rough idea of what these will consist of is: Breakfast - cereals or coffee and toast or the occasional fried breakfast, Lunch - cheese, cold meats, salads on bread or rolls, Dinner - braais (local barbecue), potjies (stews), stir fries etc. We use regular plates, cups and cutlery. All cooking and eating utensils will also be provided. We do cater for some special dietary requirements (e.g. vegetarian or allergies.). However it is essential that you inform us of any dietary requirements on booking. We will supply fruit squash served with breakfast and tea or coffee served with breakfast and dinner. All other beverages will be for your own expense. When meals are not included there will be a restaurant or choice of restaurants nearby. There is usually a restaurant/bar at the fixed campsites. They will have a reasonable selection of foods available.

Whilst we can cater for vegetarians, albeit sometimes with a more limited choice, we cannot always provide for special diets.  Due to the nature of some of the trips that we operate and the countries in which we operate them, it can be very hard (and sometimes impossible) to cater for a wide range of dietary choices and you may have to supplement your meals with food/snacks from home.  If you have specific dietary requirements please do speak to our sales team and they will be able to advise you whether or not we will be able to offer your specific choice.  Please note that we are unable to provide separate menus and cannot accept liability for any problems arising from special dietary requirements or intolerances.

Hotels & Lodges

For several nights we are in hotels and lodges on this trip, principally in the towns dotted along the route. At Maun we stay at the Sedia Hotel, a wonderful family-friendly hotel with a relaxed atmosphere and a great full sized swimming pool. The rooms will be double or twin, with a couple of family rooms available. Please note these are not guaranteed, and are also not available at other locations. Twin/double rooms are standard in Botswana with this being one of the few exceptions where more people can sleep in one room.

At Kasane we stay in tented twin/double lodges with views over the river Chobe. The tented lodges are basic and facilities including showers and toilets are in a separate nearby block. There is also a boma (raised firepit with seating) overlooking the river. There is a small swimming pool here and a restaurant too.

At Victoria Falls we stay in an intimate but wonderfully appointed lodge with twin/double rooms, a swimming pool and breakfast restaurant, within the suburbs. This is a peaceful place with big comfy beds and en-suite shower rooms.

Wild camping - for 6 nights while in the Okavango Delta, Moremi and Savuti we camp wild. Wild camps have no facilities; we will need to take our own water and all equipment. Wild camping is a stripped back and raw experience but incredibly rewarding as it allows us to be amongst the nature that we’ve come so far to see, all the time. Our experienced guides will give us lots of important information to guide us through our camping experience to amplify our enjoyment, and if followed closely will guarantee an exceptional experience. Toilets are simple pit latrines, dug by our guides, and requires using a shovel to bury our waste after each use, and a simple bucket bush shower will be provided. One of the most important rules to follow is to leave no trace of our stay, by taking all of our rubbish away with us.

The tents provide are for 2 people. Young children must be accompanied by an adult in each tent. All the camping equipment is supplied, with the exception of your sleeping bag and pillow. The dome tents we use are 2.4 x 2.4 x 1.8 meters and putting them up or down takes only 5 minutes. Tents have built-in insect nets. We supply mattresses, which are about 5 cm thick, warm and comfortable. The camp chairs have a backrest.

An essential part of this holiday is the participation - from putting up your tent (while camping) or packing away in the morning to helping with meal preparation and cleaning up - it's all part of your adventure. Your tour leaders will do all the meal preparation but we do ask the clients to help with the washing up. Team spirit is part of the fun!

The group will be accompanied by a local English-speaking professional guide. During the tour the group will travel by open 4x4 Toyota Landcruiser driven by a professional driver.

This holiday does not involve any significant ascent to altitude and we would not expect any altitude issues with this trip.

We estimate that a minimum of around £500-600 per family of 4 (or equivalent in euros/dollars) should be allowed for personal spending. This amount should be sufficient to cover non-included meals, visas, tips of local staff and miscellaneous expenses. If you are intending to buy expensive souvenirs or undertake any additional activities or excursions, you should budget accordingly (credit cards can be useful in this respect). Also, if you expect to buy considerable quantities of soft drinks or beer, you should make an allowance for this. You can choose to take your money in pounds Sterling, dollars or euros. There will be the opportunity to change money into local currency on arrival at Maun Airport and your local leader will advise the best places to change money en-route. Additionally, you will be able to get currency from bank ATMs in many of the towns that we will visit. Credit cards are often accepted but if you intend to bring your travel money with you, we recommend that you bring this in the form of cash. Sterling, US Dollars and Euros are readily exchanged. Not all lodges/hotels accept cards.

In Southern Africa it is usual to tip staff including your local guide and driver if you are happy with the services provided. We suggest you co-ordinate these tips as a group and as a rough guide we recommend each group member contributes around £30 to £40 per person. The exact amount should be determined by the group and the guide will give advice on the appropriate levels.

Our holidays are normally designed with minimal 'down time' at the start of the trip, but having a day or two at the beginning will have the additional benefit of allowing you time to get over the stress of a long journey or travelling across time zones, leaving you refreshed and ready for your holiday. We can easily arrange for you to have additional nights and airport transfers.

For this holiday you should take one piece of luggage and a daypack. Your baggage will travel in the vehicle with the group, and you should try to keep the weight to no more than 23kg. You should bring a soft bag as these are more suitable to pack in the vehicle. For the 2 nights wild camping in the Okavango Delta you will take only what you need and the remainder of your luggage will stay in Maun. For international flights please check your baggage allowance with your airline.

For each holiday there is a minimum number of participants required to enable it to go ahead. Once the minimum number is reached, the trip status will change from 'Available' to 'Guaranteed to run'. You can check the trip status for each departure in the ‘Dates and Prices’ table. Other than in exceptional circumstances, we will not cancel a trip once it has achieved this guaranteed to run status so you are free to proceed with your international flight booking and other travel arrangements.

As a member of the South African Tourism Service Association, our ground agent in South Africa may require you to complete an indemnity form at the start of your holiday, which you will need your insurance details for. As a client of KE Adventure Travel, your rights under the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangement Regulations (2018) are unaffected and KE Adventure Travel will remain liable for the actions of our suppliers.

The information that we provide is for UK passport holders.

A passport with 6 months remaining validity at the end of your stay is generally required, and you should have at least 2 blank pages for each country that you visit.

For other nationalities, please refer to your own Government website for the latest information.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you have the correct travel documents including vaccinations and health certificates (see Health & Vaccinations below), and visas for your holiday. Please ensure that you check the FCDO for the latest advice for each country visited before travel.

A KAZA UNIVISA for Zimbabwe and Zambia is cheaper than purchasing the two visas for Zambia and Zimbabwe separately. The visa is valid for 30 days as long as you remain within Zimbabwe and Zambia. It is also valid for day trips to Botswana crossing over the Kazangula borders. It will not be valid if you overnight in Botswana.

It’s available at the international airports in Lusaka and Livingstone and at the land borders at Livingstone (Zimbabwe border) and Kazungula (Botswana border). You can also apply online. It costs US$50 for single entry, or US$75 for double entry. Both are valid for 30 days from date of purchase.

Please note: The Government of Zambia recently announced the removal of all visa fees for British passport holders. However implementation of the policy has not yet been confirmed and British nationals may still be charged $25 on arrival. This may affect your decision to purchase a Kaza Univisa.

Visa Botswana

UK nationals do not normally need a visa to enter Botswana for stays of up to 90 days.

Travelling with children under 18yrs - Botswana

Parents travelling with children under 18 years will be asked to show the child’s full unabridged birth certificate. If the child is travelling with one parent, with another adult or unaccompanied, the parent or parents who aren't present will need to provide an affidavit giving their consent for the child to travel. Please note that they are very strict and they do not accept photocopies of birth certificates or short versions. This is also applicable if you are transiting through Botswana. For further details please see FCO website https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/botswana/entry-requirements

Visa Zimbabwe

A visa is required. This is obtained on arrival and is $55 single entry and $70 for double. Payment must be in cash and you should take small denomination notes for this.

Important Note: Please check your itinerary and your arrival/departure flights. If your accommodation and flights are from a different side of the falls you may need both a Zambian and a Zimbabwe visa. The town of Victoria Falls is in Zimbabwe, and the town of Livingstone is in Zambia.

Additionally If you visit the falls (on the border) and wish to cross the bridge to the other side you will require a visa for both countries.

Transit via South Africa

Rules on travelling with children under 18 years have been relaxed. Visa exempt children entering South Africa only need passports, and not birth certificates as previously required. This applies if the child is travelling with both parents, one parent or an adult who is not a biological parent, and school groups. There are some different requirements for unaccompanied children, and children who do not have UK passports or visa exempt passports. For full details please see the FCDO website.

VACCINATIONS

You should contact your doctor or travel clinic to check whether you specific require any vaccinations or other preventive measures. On holidays to more remote areas you should also have a dentist check up. You should be up to date with routine courses and boosters as recommended in the UK e.g. diphtheria-tetanus-polio and measles-mumps-rubella), along with hepatitis A and typhoid. In addition you should check whether any specific vaccinations are needed to the regions that you are travelling to. A good online resource is Travel Health Pro.

Malaria

There is a risk of Malaria in this country. Malarial prophylaxis are required.

Yellow Fever

A certificate of yellow fever vaccination is required if travelling from countries with risk of yellow fever transmission and for travellers having transited for more than 12 hrs through an airport of a country with risk of yellow fever transmission.

Severe Allergies

If you have a severe allergy please inform the KE office before you travel. We will do all we can to help, but we cannot guarantee an allergy free environment on KE trips. You will need to carry your own treatment for the allergy with you, as 'adrenaline auto-injectors' are not carried as standard by KE leaders and staff. You should inform your leader on arrival of your allergy, and let them know where you keep your adrenaline pen.

The unit of currency in Botswana is the Pula.

The unit of currency in Zimbabwe is the Zimbabwe Gold (ZiG). There is currently a shortage of available cash at the banks and ATM’s in Zimbabwe. US Dollars are still widely used, so exchange your currency in advance, or use credit cards where possible, as these are widely accepted also.

This central region of Southern Africa is subtropical being generally warm and mild to humid. October and November are hot, day and night. November to April is the hottest time of the year with chances of showers to heavy rains later in the season. May to September is cool and dry.

North Americans can also check out the U.S. Department of State website: www.travel.state.gov for essential travel advice and tips.

KE treat the safety and security of all clients as the most important aspect of any trip we organise. We would not run any trip that we did not consider reasonably safe.  Should the FCDO advise against travel for any reason, we will contact everyone booked to travel to discuss the situation.  We receive regular updates directly from the FCDO and are in constant touch with our contacts on the ground.  If you have any questions about government travel advice, please call our office.

Fantastic Family Holiday ★★★★★

A wonderful family camping experience with very personable and knowledgeable guides. Highlights included wild camping in the Okavango, Moremi and Savute, Victoria Falls and of course, all the wild animals. Although it was not the ideal time to go on safari as the was still plenty of greenery and water about, we saw plenty of animals and all the animals we were expecting to see, our favourite being the African wild dogs at a kill site which were were lucky enough to watch for an hour. Our ... guides (Andrew, Izzy and Mellow) were very professional, easy going and good cooks. I'd highly recommend this trip.
