Middle East situation

KE Adventure Travel are closely following the situation in the Middle East and the associated FCDO advice. Our thoughts go out to everyone directly/indirectly involved in the conflict.

Our phone lines are currently busier than usual as we are in the process of contacting everyone who is booked on an affected trip. This will be done in order of departure and currently up to 4th April, so please do bear with us. 

KE Adventure Middle East update (#1)- 3rd March 10.30am

The UK Government Foreign Office (FCDO) advice was updated late on 2nd March 2026 to say - FCDO now advises against all but essential travel to Jordan. The safety of our customers is our highest concern and we have therefore cancelled our Jordan trips up to 4th April 2026. If you are booked on one of these trips you will be contacted today by our Sales or Customer Services team. They will discuss alternative dates and options with you. 

At this point in time the FCDO advice on Oman is unchanged and our Oman Adventure Trekking trip (OAT 02/26) departing 20th March is still going ahead. We are monitoring the situation constantly and will update if this changes.

Trips affected - these will no longer operate and all customers booked on these trips will be contacted:

  • Jordan's Wadi Rum and Petra (JOR 02/26) departing 15th March
  • Jordan Family Adventure Holiday (FJO 02/26) departing 28th March
  • Bike Jordan Dead 2 Red (DRMB 01/26)
  • The Ultimate Jordan Adventure (JMA 01/26) departing 4th April.

A decision will be made on trips departing further on in April on Monday 9th March, or sooner depending on the situation or changing advice.

For customers booked on KE Adventure trips elsewhere (eg Nepal, Sri Lanka etc) and whose flights are affected by the temporary closure of Middle East airspace: KE will shortly be in touch with all customers who have booked a flight inclusive holiday and will offer alterative options/routes.

For Land Only customers we advise you contact your airline as soon as possible, if they have not already been in touch, to find out about your flight situation and whether you need to rebook flights. Please do let us know of your rearranged flights via your myKE account.
